Birnlücke 2665 m
The Birnlücke is the border pass between the Ahrn Valley and Salzburg.
It establishes the border Between the Venediger Group and the Ziller Valley Alps.
Already in the stone age the pass served, because of the rich ore deposits in the Ahrn Valley, as an important link in the 1365 the pass was traversed by emperor Karl IV, since other passes were not passable.
