Krimmler Tauern trail no 14

Ascend time approx. 3-3,5 hours.
The trail over the Krimmler Tauern Pass (2634 m) was a great importance in the history, since it was the shortest connection between Venice and Salzburg. In the summer of 1947 thousands of Jews, who survived the holocaust, were smuggled over the Tauern. To this day every year as a remembering of this the alpine peace crossing was organized.
The trail is also very beloved by mountain bike as a crossing of the alps. Ascend time approx. 3-3,5 hours.
